This policy applies to the Yesterling app and services. It describes how your family's information is handled.
Overview
Yesterling helps your family gather and relive memories of your children in one private place. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
Account details you give us — your name and email.
The memories you save: photos, videos, voice notes, text, dates, locations you add, and growth entries.
Basic device and usage information that helps the app run and stay reliable.
How we use it
To store and show your memories to you, and to keep your account secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never use your children's memories for advertising.

The in-app screen is deliberately a short summary; this page is the canonical home for the disclosures below (source: apps/client/src/features/legal/types.ts).
- Retention periods and account deletion (30-day reversible grace period; PRD §15.5).
- What happens to long-inactive accounts.
- Third-party data processors and the limit of each: Expo Push (notification delivery), Apple App Store / Google Play (payment verification), PostHog (product analytics, opt-in only), Cloudflare R2 (media storage), Neon (database), Fly.io (application server), Amazon SES (transactional email).
- Data subject rights and how to exercise them (access, rectification, erasure, portability — in-app export once every 30 days).
- Where data is stored (EU residency) and what that does and does not mean.
- That children's data is entered by the parent and that no child accounts exist.
- The no-tracking statement (no ATT framework, NSPrivacyTracking=false) and how to withdraw analytics consent (Menu → Privacy).
- Contact and data protection request channel.
